ABSTRACT: This study explores the importance of addressing environmental sustainability in vocational training facilities, emphasizing the need for sustainable practices in educational environments. The objectives were to (1) assess the current state of environmental sustainability in vocational training facilities, (2) identify the benefits and challenges of implementing sustainable practices, and (3) propose strategies to enhance environmental sustainability in these facilities. A survey design was employed to gather data from students, educators, and facility managers, providing a holistic view of sustainability practices. The sample size comprised 180 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to ensure relevant insights. The case study focused on Delta State, Nigeria, known for its environmental initiatives. Findings revealed that while there was an awareness of the importance of sustainability, actual implementation was limited due to financial and logistical challenges. Benefits included reduced operational costs and improved learning environments. Recommendations included increasing investment in sustainable infrastructure, incorporating sustainability into the curriculum, and fostering partnerships with environmental organizations to support sustainable practices in vocational training facilities.
